Can you see the red lipstick on our faces? That was the "Abi-Streich" 2015! Once a year, when the older students are nearly finished with all their final exams (which are called "Abitur" or short "Abi"), they go crazy one day and play games with the teachers. The teachers and younger students never know the day, so it's always a great surprise! It is wild and the older students are allowed to mock their teachers and turn the school day upside down.. They usually dress up, too! Girls dress up as boys and they wear costumes of all sorts. This year, they did a quiz: the teachers had to answer questions and they could use students for help as "jokers" like in a quiz show. The older students had also hacked the school internet and put all the tables and chairs of every classroom outside :-) Xólotl had a great time during P.E. lessons, where he did some "ceiling-diving" (of course he was caught by the students who looked after him!). He was allowed to take part in all the activities, and he loved to have his photo taken with some of the teachers, too! Great fun it was to have you here in Hamburg, Xólotl! For a creature your age you are very fit and active ;-)

Xólotl has been invited to join a Spanish lesson at our school in Hamburg, and he was very friendly and helpful and talked Spanish to the students who are learning about Mexico! They asked him lots of questions about food and music and school in Mexico, and Xólotl was very talkative and helped us lots :-) The teacher hardly needed her teaching book, because Xólotl was the expert on the topic of his home country!

Xólotl has always been very well taken care of and enjoyed a great time with the students of 6a and 6b. They involved him in all the games and laughter!

Easter was a fantastic experience for Xólotl! The students explained to him that on Easter Sunday the Easter bunny hides chocolate eggs and presents outside in the garden for the children. So he was all keen to search for eggs, too! And the Easter bunny didn't forget him: he found lots of chocolate and in the evening he could not eat dinner because his belly was so heavy with all the sweets and chocolate Easter bunnies.. He loved it though! He even learned to say "Happy Easter" in German: "Frohe Ostern". :-)

Xólotl was terribly excited!!!!! Miss Böhl had spontaneously planned a trip to the Canary Islands (you don't know where they are? Take a look on a map!). So he was hopping around like a madman and put on his sunglasses and a flower necklace. He put on his flip-flops, too! The 5-hour-flight was very difficult for him, as he could not sit still. Thankfully, he fell asleep with Miss Böhl's little daughter at some stage, so Miss Böhl could get some rest, too. He had a great time in Tenerife, check out the photos! :-)
